The digital and online world can provide important tools for connection, education and entertainment for children and families at The Hospital School at GOSH and UCLH and wellbeing and safety are paramount:
-The school follows Keeping Children Safe In education for Policy, Infrastructure and Education to maintain a safe digital environment inc. Broadband from LGFL.
-Education spans Digital Wellbeing and Inclusion, Digital Media Literacy and Online safety, RSHE, Computing curriculum.
-The Hospital School at Gosh and UCLH have adopted the Children’s Commissioner Digital 5 a Day to create a holistic children centred approach.

The Childrens Commissioner The guide focuses on managing everyday online habits and supports parents and carers in setting firm, informed and protective boundaries. Children themselves are clear that they value adults taking an active role in keeping them safe online.
CEOP provides lots of tips to help you keep your child safe online (including how to use parental settings on a device) and also guidance on reporting concerns about online content:
Internet Matters and LGFL Parent Safe provides specific guidance on privacy settings for the most popular social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and more)
Safer Internet provides tips and guides, including one specifically about safe use of different devices (phones, laptops, games consoles, smart TVs and more)
