SEND Information

The school aims to meet the needs of all children with special educational needs and disabilities.

We are an inclusive school and all our teachers have experience of working with pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

In addition, we have a specialist team of teachers who have specific qualifications, experience and interest in working with children and young people with; visual or sensory impairment, profound and complex learning and physical disabilities, and moderate to profound social emotional needs.

Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs)

If a pupil has an EHCP, we will support them to work towards their EHCP targets and we may also be involved in setting those targets at annual reviews. We contribute to annual reviews with both written reports and in person and this process is overseen by our Assistant Head for Inclusion.

Where it is felt that a pupil would benefit from an EHCP upon discharge from hospital, we can support families and home schools through the application process, providing evidence and recommendations for future support.
